A B C D E F & G, that reminds me of when we were free.

This afternoon, over coffee:

Pascal: "You know, it would be easier for me to understand if you gave the boys you're talking about letters. I'm confused."
Nesli: "Well, in that case I have only A and B. But MiJi has A, B, C, aaand D!"
MiJi: "I have?"
Nesli: "Yes you have!!!!"
Pascal: "Ok, I'm giving up..."

Locher's Paris

Do you remember my post about the Paris-based Swiss designer Nicole Locher back in October last year?

Their line now includes a NEW VINTAGE VIXEN series of handmade silver-chain necklaces carrying pendants adorned with tiny pastries, porcelain flowers, satin and lace ribbon bows, sweet charms and their pendants don't shy away from naughty statements, preventing us from becoming "too sweet" while adding the right touch of intrigue and danger.....

"Maybe it's arrogance, but oh well. When you are the shit, you are the shit and there really isn't anything you can do about it."

I think this necklace would be a great present to myself for finishing my Bachelors degree at university. :)

Get yourself something while they're on sale!

She continued searching... certain only, of what she didn't want.

My routine for the past four days was to stay in and watch at least two movies a day, which I needed and enjoyed very much. Can you guess from which movie the title of this post is? A hint: it's the last lines of the narrator.

Anyways, now that the weather has finally cleared up I'm spending more time outside catching some sun and enjoying la dolce far niente.

Wednesday's Inspiration: Slacks

I saved these pictures as inspirations on how to wear slacks for myself but I thought I'd also share them with you. I really like the slouchy feel and let's be honest, they're way more comfortable than skinnies. But also a bit trickier to wear in my opinion. What do you think?

Tuesday in chronological order

As we already mentioned we had spent a crazy day and night ^^
So here are some impressions..

Pascal brought us all these nice magazines: Acne Paper, i-D and Numéro.

and we made him even cook for us ^^
those clubsandwiches were delicious!

After putting the tarte au chocolat into the oven around 3am we started to paint the cotton bags..

and it turned out to be a real good idea :D
We will show you soon some photos of our black-lips-experiment-shoot which we did at 2am ^^

Painting bags is more fulfilling than sleeping

A couple of days ago MiJi, Pascal and I had dinner at my apartment.

The club sandwiches led to looking at lots of magazines, which led to watching DVD's. Then we had a 2 am photoshoot with black lipstick. Suddenly we craved tarte au chocolat, which Pascal made at 3 am and we ate at 4 am. By then we all started painting the cotton totes Pascal brought over, which was so much fun.

At 5 am, when the birds were already singing, we decided not to sleep at all and go have breakfast in the city.... Which was exactly what we did!

Pascal has the ability to sleep while standing. Look at how peaceful he looks. :)

White Tea Apricot

This is the bag I bought at a local flea market that I mentioned in this post. I loved the colour and the gold lock so much I couldn't resist buying it. Plus it went so well with that necklace I purchased in Istanbul.

When this picture was taken I had no idea that I wouldn't get any sleep the following night.
More on that later... :)

Absent-minded

Sorry for the lack of posts this week... A lot of things are happening and decisions need to be made. But there are a couple of pictures we will post soon!

Sometimes it's best to just wait and see.

Pittsburgh Galleries Blog Goes On Hiatus

Pittsburgh Galleries Blog Goes On Hiatus

This blog will no longer be a comprehensive listing of Pittsburgh art events but the good news is that there's a new blog which is doing a great job of covering the scene: Bittersweet Harvest. To have an event listed there email the info to bsharvest(AT)hotmail.com. The url is http://bittersweetharvest.blogspot.com/ .

I'm not sure what this blog will become. Perhaps in the fall it will re-emerge.

Nüchtern

We'd like to introduce you Daniel Jäckel - our uni friend!
He's a talented writer and poet, so visit his homepage and support his great work! We mainly appeal to our German-speaking readers : )

nüchtern
Ich liege schon seit Stunden wach,
doch Aufstehn fällt mir jetzt noch schwer.
Die Sonne scheint mit voller Kraft
vom Himmel auf mich herab.
Die letzte Nacht ist lange her.

Ihr bizarres Lächeln
hängt noch zwischen meinen Wangen.
steif und völlig ausgeleert,
doch der Spass daran ist längst vergangen;
Zu lachen gibt es jetzt nichts mehr.

StuDYING

My uniform for the past days: jeans, a comfy shirt and chucks. Not to forget the sunglasses to hide my under eye circles. ^^ I think you can see why I've been less than inspired to blog recently but nevertheless I've been silently following your blogs during my breaks.

Today's highlight so far was to meet MiJi for coffee, who has the luxury to sleep until 3 in the afternoon. Sorry for outing you, sweetie! ^^

If it wasn't raining today, I'd be wearing something like the outfit below.
She looks cute, doesn't she?

On a happier note: I'll be done with my last final tomorrow at noon, so you won't have to hear about my rantings of a student anymore. I'll be back with more interesting posts, I promise! Until then, take care and wish me luck...

Ebay

Yesterday I received my geek glasses.
I have to cotton up to them but I'm sure it won't take too long.

My name is Clark Kent ^^
and I'm turning into a night owl again.

Do extraordinary stuff

Sorry for the lack of posts on my behalf but I've been very busy these days. The fact that my camera is currently taking pictures of London while I'm stuck in Zurich studying for my last final doesn't make it easier.

To my sister: Come home, I don't have the time to do laundry. And I miss you.

To all of you: Enjoy your weekend! Do extraordinary stuff!
